The importance of looking after your parents when they are Old.

Your Parents took every care and looked after you saving you from evils,dangers etc, so it is only natural that we pay that back, when they want our care, especially at their old age.

But unfortunately I can see that, that do not happen always.. I know in many families, where the parents have told me that their son/daughter do not look after them when they are in their old age.

It is one of the greatest sins and mistake one can do in their life.

I say this from my experience ... My Parents were very careful about my upbringing, but they were very strict. Later in life, I could see that, their strictness may have saved me from many dangers that I was unaware of, that time.

My Mother was very caring about me. Whenever there is any problem, or issue happened, it was always to Her I ran into, and I always got relief from her too.

My Father on the other hand was like a Military commander or so like. He always ordered things, if I do any mistake, he will scold me in front of everyone to the maximum imaginable extend.

He was a martial artist also, and I was very afraid of him even in his old age!

Now, one thing he will declare to everyone so often that, I wont be given any share of the wealth he created. He will say I wont get even one Paisa itself.

So, when he was in his old age, I was thinking, "well, I will get maximum 5 cent from his wealth" etc.

But, my father always used to give me the best food, and he also get me the best dress also. This always confused me at times.

Anyway, I looked after both my parents as good as I could and they both passed away respectively on November 2014(My father) and December 27(My Mother).

Later, I got the shock of my life. My father and mother had jointly written a Will which was also registered, in which my father had ensured I get all his wealth.

In the Will he had mentioned what he have given to my other relatives and myself will inherit whatever left. It was substantial indeed and I had never thought he will give me anything.

Many of the relatives could not believe what is written in the Will itself. But, few of my fathers best friends were informed, they were the witness in the Will.

So, my message to those sons/daughters who get scolding often from their parents, do not think, their parents hate you.. infact they may be loving you the most!!
